This is a dual wavelength laser (532nm and 1064nm) using Q-switched technology. With the REVLITE, which is a much improved and advanced version of the familiar MEDLITE series, peak power has been increased by up to 60%. This allows for effective treatment in a controlled and safe manner.
In particular, REVLITE has been demonstrated in studies to be very effective against Melasma, and as an excellent skin rejuvenation tool. Skin rejuvenation treatment brings about an improvement in skin texture, wrinkles and fine lines, reduction in pore size, improvement in certain types of acne scars, and a generally more radiant and brighter facial appearance.

The treatment area will be anesthetized with a topical numbing cream, but you may still feel a stinging or burning discomfort during and shortly after the treatment. Chilled air may also be used to increase comfort during the procedure.

The power and flexibility provided by VPL lies in the fact that it is able to use 840 different pulse variations and energy output levels reaching over 50J/cm2. These easily adjustable settings allow doctors to vary the pulse delivery from patient to patient. This allows for maximal comfort and optimal clinical results.
With the advance in technology, pulsed light, and in particular variable pulse light can regularly produce better results than laser. Each light pulse comprises a sequence of rapid shorter pulses. These variable pulses (hence its name), ensures more controlled absorption whilst minimizing heating of the surrounding skin.
